...That feeling when you've poured in about 30-40 hours into plush work and nothing is actually done and you are back to square one. D:
I think this is only natural when refining patterns though, hating bits and pieces of it and eventually getting to a point where you're okay enough with it to stuff it up and seal it once and for all.
Some random things and a few vacation pictures under the cut:
I haven't quite disappeared but I've been M.I.A. because of my vacation; I quite enjoy these, while stressful at times because I end up visiting my parents, but part of me always wishes I could have been working on things the entire time too.
Here are the few things I managed to work on after I came back.. hopefully more to come soon.

Garchomp took me a while.. but I finished him yesterday. :D

I bought a lot of pompoms I didn't know what to do with, and after making a couple gifts for a friend's birthday I decided to make a few more just for fun. :D
Not my standard pokemon sculptures, it's nice to do something else for a change. Also my recent addiction of black cherry soda in the background. ^_^;
Okay now for some pictures from my trip! Everyone else had their photos uploaded like the week after. One month or so later for me.. Slowpoke is slow, yes?
There are supposed to be more photos but I just realized that 90% of my pictures apparently didn't copy onto my computer from my memory card and I deleted them lolol. I'll probably have to recover them because it would be a shame to never see them again.
Here are a few of the ones that made it:

Here's a little gecko we found at our hotel.. the colours are so vibrant. ;_;

Marketplace

The most amazing ahi tuna burger I've ever had in my life. <3

Common birds that parade the streets! They look so colourful compared to the crows and pigeons we have in Canada..

This was at the Hilton resort, they had a big koi pond!

I think they were supposed to display something on that TV but it wasn't on since I took this on the first night.
Before vacation, I got a free bookshelf and just dumped everything on it. I'm still working on rearranging everything but here's a somewhat recent picture:

It's cluttered as hell and I've been slowly working on rearranging things.. still deciding whether or not to keep plush and figures together (grand Slowpoke book case) or to have the plush together in a pyramid in my room which is where they are right now.
Anyway, school started this past week and I'm actually enjoying the sounds of some of these courses; I was initially counting on just doing barely enough to get through my classes but that might have to change. So, I'll have to figure out how to balance that with commissions, improving at competitive video games, and getting fit again.
Also this for those who have not seen it yet!

Alllllmost looks like it could be a copy of this leather Slowpoke plush here:

I can't really see the back view of the booty but I hope it'll be okay as I just ordered one. Most of the bootlegs are fairly cute in my opinion but there's just something slightly off about all of them.
In any case, I'm just glad to see another Slowpoke plush out there. :D
On another note, yesterday was the first time I've seen actual spiders in this suite since I moved here in May. There was not just one, but two of them... I hate spiders. So so very much.

Vacations are great things! That little gecko is a gold dust gecko. I think they're adorable.
I'm hoping to finish up a couple commissions before school work picks up. <3
The little gold dust geckos are everywhere! I wish we had such bright beautiful creatures running around. haha
omg that would be an idea! They'd all look like fat sheep LOL.
PS omg koi ponddd! I love koi aah.
Those koi were massive.. I don't think I've seen actual koi until I was at the Hilton. They're so pretty. ;O;
Did you really message a seller asking them to make a particular pokemon? xD
YES I totally did. It was worth a shot, right? No harm in asking.. and apparently it worked? lol
I wish my work computer weren't dumb and didn't block most of your vacation pictures. :(
:(
I hope I can upload them on FB sometime.. if I ever end up recovering them. It would suck if they were gone forever. ;_;
Oh wow, what a beautiful Day Gecko you photographed. I believe that particular species is what Geico modeled their Gecko after. You can read more about them here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phelsu
I have always really liked the Peacock Day Gecko:
http://www.wildherps.com/species/P.quad
They have a spot behind their front leg that resembles the "eye" on a Peacock's feather.
I'm hoping those bootleggers make a plush or two of my favorite Kitteh Pokemon...:3
Howlelujah was saying they are gold dust geckos.. possibly just a different name for them? I'm glad my camera's macro could capture the details so well. ^_^
It seems like they were actually taking into account peoples' opinions about which plush to make.. if enough people ask for kitties they might just happen!
I know one person who asked for some Kittehs, LOL!! XD
Hawaii looks like such a gorgeous place and a really great time! I'm really sorry to hear about your other pictures getting lost. ;A; I hope you are able to recover them somehow.
Your collection looks very lovely on the new bookshelf! Plush-pyramid sounds awesome in my opinion. xD
You do competitive gaming/are trying to get into it? :O That's so cool! What do you play? I am not a competitive gamer at all, but I find the whole thing to be really fascinating. Good luck with your courses! Glad to hear there are some intriguing ones this time around!
I didn't actually get to go to too many places in Hawaii other than the Hilton (which definitely is gorgeous) but I sort of wished I had a bit of extra time there to just venture the island like a castaway haha.
I used to battle competitively! But with intense summer classes and a full course load all year last year, I wasn't able to do too much team building. I would mostly do VGC but I've tried TCG before.. it just wasn't for me. ^^;
I know what you mean with TCG... I'm actually not that big into strategic trading card games in general. XD And after having collected Pokemon cards way back in the day, I'm not looking to repeat that experience, LOL. I can see how school would get in the way of that for sure, but I hope you're able to work it into your schedule more easily this year! It sounds like a lot of fun. :)
Also, Garchomp is gorgeous ;o; Your colors are so perfect ♥

Thank you so much! <3
A 12" sloth would be amazing.. a gigantic Slaking would also be a dream come true haha.
As for how I found that booty, I woke up at like 6am to win an auction and was searching eBay to pass the time.. then to my surprise, a new Slowpoke plush was on the market! It seems like they're making more steadily, if you message them asking them to make a certain pokemon (like I did, apparently it worked) chances are the may just do that. <3
Wow, I wonder if I should request.....a giant 12 inch Shroomish pillow would be amazing....
Also, I always fangirl over your collection :D
He looks pretty sizable too! 12" is pretty good, most Slowpoke plush are smaller than that (about half the size, maybe 1/3).
Awwwww. <3
I'm still not super satisfied with how it is right now.. but thank you! XD
I just wanted to say that I find it hilarious that you asked for a Slowpoke plush and got it... I asked one of the sellers if a Growlithe plush was possible since it'd be very popular, and lo and behold, they started releasing Growlithes a couple of weeks later. XD
Also, I hope you open up commissions some time later ;o; I'm still kicking myself in the head for missing out on the end of your auctions last time!
